1ST RESPONSE EMERGENCY UAV
1ST RESPONSE EMERGENCY UAV
The MED UAV is a rapid-response medical drone system designed to deliver essential first-aid supplies to highway accident sites before an ambulance can navigate through traffic. Equipped with a camera and speakers, it enables remote paramedics to visually assess the situation and verbally guide on-site bystanders through critical, life-saving procedures in real-time.

Research
Research
Analyzed the critical delays in highway accident response managed by toll plazas, identifying that traffic jams, single lanes, and difficult terrains often prevent traditional emergency vehicles from reaching victims in time.

Concept
Concept
Proposed a medical drone (The MED UAV) to enhance first response emergency services by deploying a drone equipped with a first aid box, GPS, camera, and speakers ahead of the ambulance. This allows a paramedic to remotely guide bystanders in performing life-saving first aid while the physical ambulance is still en route.

Design
Design
Focused on "Simple, Minimal, and Friendly" visual attributes, utilizing smooth surfaces to ensure the drone appears approachable and easy to handle for untrained individuals in high-stress situations. The design integrates a compact 1-1.5 kg first aid payload carrying essential medical supplies.

Development
Development
Developed a systemic service workflow where the drone is piloted using a remote with a live video and audio display. This establishes an immediate, live communication bridge between the toll plaza's control room and the accident site to facilitate rapid medical intervention. Refer to the video here for better understanding.
